Grief and Loss Roundtable

Grief and loss are still a hard peel to swallow, especially during the last couple of years when the pandemic hit. A lot of lives were lost.

Being a 6Excoach, I deal with a lot of losses such as physical, emotional, and psychological. All of them follow the grief and loss cycle.

6ExCoach: Grief & Loss Cycle Chart

Here are 5 stages of the grief and loss cycle:

  1. Shock & denial

  2. Anger

  3. Depression & Detachment

  4. Dialogue & Bargaining

  5. Acceptance

This grief cycle does not always stay true to form. The cycle can happen in no particular order. My question is what does the cycle teach us. After all is said and done, how do we as human-begins suppose to live after loss? I believe grief and loss are a teacher. They teach us to make better choices for ourselves. To choose to live and thrive and not react, but to respond appropriately to get the best outcomes that we desire.

I would like to know your thoughts about grief and loss, what it is and what it isn’t.

Peace! ✌️✌️✌️
